Another good one! Perhaps because it deals with yet another of my favourite sci-fi concepts: an artificially controlled society. The way the people are willing to make sacrifices, simply go and be killed because “that’s the way things are” has always fascinated and scared me.
It’s not only an Enterprise adventure for me. Such episodes make me think about our history. About the methods that were used throughout the ages to manipulate the whole societies. The power of propaganda, behavioral conditioning etc. Scary, isn’t it?
