“Identity Crisis”
All crew members of the Victory who have visited the planet Tarchannen III five years ago have mysteriously returned there and vanished without trace. Only Susanna Leitjen and Geordi are left. After an examination on Tarchannen III Leitjen’s blood chemistry is altered and she feels the urge to leave the ship. Beverly suspects that the other crew members have been transformed into a species indigenous to the planet. Geordi reconstructs the away mission on the holodeck, but soon his transformation begins, and he leaves the ship. Down on the planet, Geordi has been almost completely transformed and can only be found using ultraviolet light. Susanna succeeds in convincing him to come back. summary by Ex Astris Scientia
Beautiful and touching. I loved the way Geordi was torn between his new identity and fading memories of his life as a human beaing. Of course I realize that all science goes down the toilet with such inter species transitions but… well, who cares? It’s Star Trek!
