“Shore Leave”
“Shore Leave” The crew beam down on an apparently uninhabited planet, where wishes and thoughts come true. Kirk, for instance, meets an old love and an old rival from Starfleet Academy. Uhm… Alice in Wonderland was a nice touch. I thought it was pretty entertaining. I was curious to see what other things would be happening to the crew. The tiger (or lion - I can’t remember) chasing Sulu was funny, too.
What spoiled this episode for me was too long fight scenes. Kirk’s old friend was incredible. I’d think they’d met in a sandbox, judging from his emotional development. Besides, even if I’m not a great Kirk’s fan, I refuse to believe that his strongest wish was to beat Finnegan (?). He’s a little more mature than that as well.
