“Suddenly Human”
Following a distress call, the away team is surprised to find a human boy on a Talarian ship. He is called Jono, but his actual name is Jeremiah Rossa. The Talarian Captain Endar once killed Jeremiah’s parents and adopted the child as it is the custom in Talarian culture. Both Endar and Jeremiah’s grandmother demand that the boy be returned. Jono, who is used to the patriarchic and violent Talarian society, does not fit into life on the Enterprise. The only authority Jono accepts is Picard, but as the decision becomes more and more pressing, Jono even attempts to kill Picard. This is why Picard finally decides to hand him out to Endar. summary by Ex-Astris-Scientia
What can I say? Not in compliance with Starfleet ideals at the beginning. I mean, remove a young boy from his environment which he allarently loves only because he is SUPPOSED to live differently? Hated it. Couldn’t believe they’d try to pull it off. Luckily, they woke up finally. Whew!
I still don’t recommend this one.
