One of the greatest moments in all of sci-fi genre, if you ask me. It’s a cliche, I know, but what a cliche! Don’t you think that the film “Enemy Mine” was based on just that? The war all around and yet, two individuals in a critical situation not only help each other but also bond beyond their racial issues?
I guess it doesn’t even take sci-fi to see it. Lots of war literature as well, though I can’t think of any titles at the moment. You’ve got to love it! You’ve got to believe it, no matter how naive it is. Why do we need wars? Or, better: DO we need any wars? Who is that needs them? Greedy powers-that-be. But we, individuals, are better than that. Each and every one of us. Trust me. I know.
