“The Galileo 7″
“The Galileo 7″ After their shuttle has crashed, some crew members are killed by the planet’s savage inhabitants. Without help from the Enterprise and energy being scarce, Spock has to make serious decisions. Eventually an “illogical” action saves the survivors, when he releases and ignites the rest of the fuel that would keep them in orbit, so the sensors of the Enterprise can detect the shuttle. summary by Ex-Astris-Scientia
I must admit I was a little shocked by Spock’s attitude. At first it seemed only logical (heh!), then slowly but surely it went downhill to totally absurd. Letting the crew explore the planet after the first man was killed? And his hesitation all the time. Their dialogs with Bones weren’t even funny anymore. The whole episode was irritating and frustrating for me. Not to mention the apes (it was apes, wasn’t it?) but it’s again just me picking on lame technology. All in all, an interesting experience but it’s certainly not the one I’d care to repeat too often.
